The Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) which was established in 1995 to promote uniform standards, procedures and protocols in the Indoor Air Quality industry. In 2005 IAQA’s membership was consolidated with two very similar organizations: The American Council for Accredited Certifications (ACAC) and the Indoor Environmental Standards Organization (IESO)
Environmental Solutions Association, Inc. (ESA) is the nation’s premier, membership-based training organization. ESA was formed in 2002 exclusively to provide industry professionals with the quality training and education necessary to confront environmental and safety issues faced by property owners, inspectors, daycare facilities, schools, nursing homes, hospitality, extended care facilities, remediation experts, investment firms, engineers, environmental consultants, property managers and all other related industry personnel.
The IICRC, with industry-wide participation, certifies and develops certifications and standards for inspection, cleaning and restoration. The IICRC also serves as valuable consumer referral source for certified technicians and firms. There are currently more than 53,000 active certified technicians, many with multiple certifications, and more than 6,000 Certified Firms around the world. The IICRC is an international non-profit certifying body. In addition, the IICRC is an ANSI-accredited standard-development organization (SDO) that works with interested industry associations and organizations to develop consensus-based standards. The IICRC serves as a independent, certification body, that sets and promotes high standards and ethics, and advances communication and technical proficiency within the inspection, cleaning and restoration industries. The IICRC also ensures that when consumers hire a cleantrust-Certified Firm or technician, they have hired experts who will provide reasonable assurance that work will be completed in accordance with the industry’s “standard of care.”
